█ Powerful execution of the battery materials business to raise corporate value and place priority on enhancing stockholder value

█ Preemptively secured operation funds to respond to compound crises such as global inflation, global supply chain issues, etc.

█ Long-term debts account for 65% of all loans, and maintaining minimal operation funds of more than 1 trillion KRW to maintain stable base

On the 18th, LOTTE CHEMICAL announced that it decided to conduct paid-in capital increase by offering about 1 trillion KRW to stockholders to respond to compound crises such as global inflation, and supply chain issues.

The purpose of the paid-in capital increase is for procuring funds to acquire shares of another corporation announced in October and to come up with operation funds, and plans are to invite initial subscriptions to existing stockholders on January 19 and then offer public subscription on January 26.

The LOTTE Group Chemical Unit, which LOTTE CHEMICAL belongs to, is building a value chain for core materials of secondary batteries such as cathode foil and copper foil, electrolyte organic solvents, and separators. By expanding its overseas market in eco-friendly EV battery materials in the US, Europe, etc., it plans to become a global leading battery materials company as it speedily pursues related businesses.

In addition, by preemptively diversifying fund procurement in preparation with freezing of the capital market due to global inflation, rising interest rates, and global supply chain issues, it plans to maintain a stable base.

Meanwhile, LOTTE CHEMICAL is doing its best to enhance corporate value and stockholder value by maintaining a minimum of 1 trillion KRW as operational funds for financial soundness, keeping liability rate below 70% on a separate basis, and maintain long-term loans at 65% of total loans to adjust its investment and procurement plans.
