LOTTE Chemical announced that it received two WINNER awards at the 2023 iF International Design Awards (iF International Forum Design).

The winning products were 『INSIDE MARKING』, which is a cosmetic product container using recycled materials that applied 3D laser marking and 『’FEELING’ SAFE』, which is a controller using the anti-virus ‘Everban’ material that applied braille patterns for the visually disabled. These two products that use ABS plastic materials were awarded in the Product Concepts category of the Professional Concept sector.

Unlike existing cosmetic product containers, 『INSIDE MARKING』 applies 3D laser methods on recycled transparent ABS materials, thus enhancing its aesthetics, and has an eco-friendly design allowing it to be separately discharged and recycled when throwing the product away.

『’FEELING’ SAFE』 employed a design that applied braille patterns on the anti-virus ABS material ‘Everban’ in order to provide assistance to the visually impaired who experience difficulties in everyday life. It prevents infection and spread of various germs and bacteria and can be used as a general product for door handles, product controllers, switches, etc.

LOTTE Chemical Advanced Materials CEO Lee Young Joon stated, “Based on eco-friendly materials and technologies that add functionality needed in today's times, we are expanding design solutions tailored to customers that can be used in various industrial sectors such as IT, household appliances, automobiles, etc.”

The iF Design Awards that began in 1954 is given by the German marketing consulting company International Forum Design, and it is one of the world’s top 3 industrial design awards together with the German Red Dot Design Award and US IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards).

About 11,000 design products from 56 countries were submitted in the 9 sectors of the 2023 awards.

Meanwhile, LOTTE Chemical was awarded a total of 22 times at the 3 top design awards such as the iF Design Awards and Red Dot Design Awards so far.
