LOTTE Chemical held the '4th Environmental Seminar' for partners on the 29th.

LOTTE Chemical has continuously been hosting the environmental seminar since 2022, marking the fourth event, to promote shared growth and environmental cooperation. The seminar had provided a training and networking platform on environmental policies for small and medium-sized partners.

In previous seminars, the focus was primarily on training partners on changes in environmental policies and regulations related to chemical substances. However, the 4th Environmental Seminar, attended by around 80 partners, was conducted with a broader and more in-depth approach and aligned with the growing emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. Various topics essential for addressing ESG issues were shared and discussed, including ▲ the latest trends and case studies on individual environmental laws, ▲ updates on the Chemical Substances Control Act (K-REACH), ▲ the EU Supply Chain Due Diligence Law, and ▲ supply chain cooperation for carbon neutrality. The event garnered significant interest from the participating partners.

"Through this event, we were able to reaffirm the importance of ESG management and explore specific strategies and measures for sustainable supply chain management,” remarked a representative from one of the partners who attended the seminar. “The annual environmental seminars hosted by LOTTE Chemical have been extremely helpful, as they provide access to essential information at the right time."

"As ESG management becomes not just an option but an essential part of business, we are pleased to hold this environmental seminar to support the shared growth of our partners,” stated Park In chul, the Head of LOTTE Chemical’s ESG Management Division, who hosted the seminar. “LOTTE Chemical will continue to support various programs for our partners to fulfill the company's social responsibilities."
