Lotte Chemical will participate in ‘K 2025,’ the world’s largest plastics industry exhibition, which will be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, for eight days from October 8 to 15.
Under the theme “Lotte Chemical’s Material Solutions for a Sustainable Future,” the company will showcase a wide range of innovative technologies, including high-performance specialty materials applicable to mobility, IT appliances, and industrial products, as well as its recycled material brand ‘ECOSEED’, the four key battery materials, and core raw materials for semiconductors and displays. Through this exhibition, Lotte Chemical aims to accelerate its expansion into the European market based on differentiated R&D capabilities and further strengthen its competitiveness in the global market of the future.
In the ‘Mobility Solutions’ Zone, first of all, visitors can explore Lotte Chemical’s expertise in mobility materials. The exhibition will feature lightweight materials that are lighter than metal while maintaining performance, as well as a lineup of recycled materials for mobility applications that comply with the EU ELV (End of Life Vehicle) regulation. In addition, high-heat-resistant and flame-retardant materials for battery safety and design ideas to enhance mobility interiors will also be presented.
In the ‘ECOSEED’ Zone, themed “Sustainable Recycling,” Lotte Chemical will highlight its vision for a sustainable future. The company will showcase recycled products incorporating its resource-circulation brand ECOSEED, applied to various uses such as cosmetic containers, small home appliances, and packaging bags. In addition to mechanical recycling — which involves collecting, sorting, crushing, and reinjecting used plastics — the company will introduce its chemical recycling solutions utilizing depolymerization and solvent purification technologies, emphasizing its strong recycling technology capabilities.
The ‘Specialty Solutions’ Zone will feature high-performance materials that span everyday life and industrial applications. In the home appliance sector, Lotte Chemical will display high-rigidity materials used in outdoor air conditioner fan components and transparent plastics for robot vacuum cleaner water tanks, offering both impact resistance and design flexibility. In the packaging sector, the company will present packaging solutions that consider lightweighting, durability, and processability, such as food containers made with foamed PP and bottle caps and films using HDPE materials. In the industrial sector, it will showcase materials such as PET Clear, medical-grade PP, and ultra-high-molecular-weight PE suitable for extreme environments.
In the ‘Advanced Technologies’ Zone, advanced material technologies from Lotte Chemical and its affiliates will be displayed. Exhibits will include the four key lithium-ion battery materials — cathode foil, copper foil, separator materials, and electrolyte organic solvents — produced by the Lotte Chemical Group companies, as well as TMAC (Tetramethyl Ammonium Chloride) and TMAH (Tetramethyl Ammonium Hydroxide), which are key raw materials for semiconductor and display developers. The company will also present its technology for realizing a wide range of colors without post-processing and introduce various award-winning design materials recognized in global competitions.
The ‘Green Specialty Materials’ Zone will showcase the high-performance product lineup of Lotte Fine Chemicals. In the cellulose product category, the company will introduce plant-based functional materials derived from wood and pulp, offering specialty products used as industrial and food/pharmaceutical additives. In the chlorine product category, ECH, a raw material for epoxy resins, will be displayed. In the ammonia category, Lotte Fine Chemical will highlight urea solution, a diesel exhaust gas reduction agent that has maintained the No.1 domestic market share for 17 consecutive years.
A Lotte Chemical’s representative stated, “Through this exhibition, we aim to provide optimized, customer-tailored solutions based on our functional specialty materials and technologies, while further strengthening our global network.”
