LOTTE Chemical will participate in ‘Chinaplas 2026,’ Asia’s largest plastics industry exhibition. The exhibition will be held in Shanghai, China, from April 21 (Tue) to April 24 (Fri), local time. Under the theme of ‘Forward Momentum,’ LOTTE Chemical will introduce its competitiveness in high-value specialty materials and its portfolio for future growth industries.

In the 『High-Performance Tech』 zone, high-performance materials applied to key industries such as IT and semiconductors will be showcased. Functional materials for preventing electrostatic discharge (ESD) used in semiconductor processes, as well as TMAH, a developer used in semiconductor and display manufacturing, will be exhibited. In addition, the Super EP material applied to ultra-compact camera modules and smartwatch bodies will be unveiled for the first time. Super EP is a next-generation high-performance material expandable to future industries such as Physical AI and aerospace, and LOTTE Chemicals continues to broaden the application scope of high-tech materials leading future industries.

In the 『Empowering Industry』 zone, optimized functional materials for various industrial applications will be presented. These include ultra-high molecular weight PE for bulletproof vests with excellent strength, high-performance PP used for insulating films, syringes, and waterproof sheets, EVA applied to solar panels for its high transparency and strong adhesion, and non-toxic flame-retardant ABS for electronic circuit board housings. A wide range of high-performance material solutions connecting everyday life and industry will be proposed.

In the 『Advanced Mobility』 zone, LOTTE Chemical’s mobility material capabilities will be highlighted. Various exterior material solutions with excellent weather resistance and appearance quality will be showcased to respond to the expansion of autonomous driving and electrification. Color design solutions that simultaneously deliver functionality and emotional appeal tailored to each component will also be introduced. In the battery sector, an integrated portfolio will be presented, including copper foil, cathode foil, separator materials, and electrolyte organic solvents—the four core materials of lithium-ion batteries. Flame-retardant solutions that suppress fire propagation and tray materials for battery cell transport and storage will also be exhibited, emphasizing specialty competitiveness across the mobility industry.

In the 『Smart Living』 zone, high-performance materials used in everyday life will be displayed. These include durable and highly processable HDPE for bottle caps, foamed PP with excellent lightweight and insulation properties, and high-transparency PET-based materials with greater clarity than conventional PET. Additionally, high-transparency, chemical-resistant ABS applied to robot vacuum water tanks, high-rigidity SAN/GF used in HVAC fans, unpainted color solutions applied to washing machine exteriors, and ABS extrusion sheets for refrigerators utilizing pyrolysis naphtha will demonstrate material technologies that enhance performance and value in various daily products.

In the 『Sustainable Materials』 zone, materials for a sustainable future will be introduced. High-quality recycled materials produced through physical and chemical recycling of waste plastics will be exhibited, along with cellulose-based high-performance materials made from wood and pulp by LOTTE Fine Chemical.

A LOTTE Chemical official stated, “Based on our high-performance material technologies and global supply chain competitiveness, we are continuously expanding our portfolio in future growth industries,” adding, “We will strengthen our presence in China, the world’s largest plastics market, and accelerate the expansion of our global specialty business by continuously providing customized solutions for our customers.”
