LOTTE Chemical Group holds ‘2026 Leadership Summit’

LOTTE Chemical Group held the ‘2026 Leadership Summit’ on the 19th at the LOTTE Academy Osan Campus, inviting approximately 260 executives and team leaders from its chemical affiliates including LOTTE Chemical, LOTTE Fine Chemical, LOTTE Energy Materials, and LOTTE Aluminum. The event was designed to reflect the group’s determination to find breakthroughs amid rapidly changing business conditions and to explore new standards of leadership required in an era of transformation.
During the morning session, external lectures were delivered on the evolution of leadership across different eras. The sessions presented flexible ways of thinking and behavioral standards required of leaders at a time shaped by industrial restructuring, technological innovation, and global uncertainty, providing attendees with an opportunity to reflect on leadership.
In the afternoon, internal presentations focused on strengthening unity within the chemical group and sharing strategic directions. The session began with a review of the group’s current business status and the sharing of its future strategic roadmap. This was followed by presentations from Joo Woo-hyun and Chung Seung-won, who directly delivered each company’s strategic direction and leadership messages. Through these sessions, the affiliates of the chemical group strengthened mutual understanding and built greater internal consensus. The summit concluded with an encouraging message from Lee Young-jun to employees and executives.
Lee Young-jun stated, “We will continue transforming our portfolio by increasing the share of strategic materials businesses to more than 60% after 2030 through restructuring of the basic materials business, expansion of functional materials, and development of future growth businesses,” adding, “Let us firmly maintain our position as a core company in Korea’s chemical industry based on differentiated products and technological capabilities.” He further emphasized, “Let us accelerate efficient business operations and transformation toward a high-value-added business structure through unwavering and strong leadership.”
