LOTTE Chemical announced that it plans to introduce a shared-growth support initiative under which it will temporarily reduce the supply prices of key products. The initiative is designed to ease the cost burden on SME customers facing difficulties due to recent disruptions in global supply chains and help maintain a stable domestic supply chain.

The measure will utilize the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s “2026 Naphtha Supply Stabilization Subsidy Program” to mitigate the impact of fluctuations in petrochemical feedstock prices and ensure that the benefits of government support extend throughout the industry.

LOTTE Chemical plans to provide details on eligible products and customers, the applicable period, and specific support measures in phases, taking into comprehensive consideration factors such as the proportion of feedstock used in each product, market conditions, and individual customers’ transaction terms.

Through these supply price reductions, LOTTE Chemical aims to further strengthen its partnerships with SME customers and support the stable production and supply of essential petrochemical materials used across a wide range of industries.

Meanwhile, amid growing external uncertainties, LOTTE Chemical has made various efforts to stabilize the domestic supply chain, including redirecting export volumes to the domestic market and flexibly adjusting its production and maintenance schedules.

In April, for example, the company postponed the scheduled maintenance of its Yeosu Plant by one week to secure emergency supplies of medical-grade polypropylene (PP), a material used to manufacture IV solution bags. The Yeosu Plant holds the required certification for medical-grade products. To ensure uninterrupted production and supply during the maintenance period, LOTTE Chemical also urgently transported 3,900 metric tons of propylene produced at its Daesan Plant to Yeosu.

In addition, when uncertainty over the supply of construction materials intensified, the company increased production of Ethylene Oxide Adducts (EOA), a key raw material used in concrete admixtures. It supplied 7,000 metric tons—equivalent to approximately 140% of average monthly domestic demand—helping prevent severe ready-mixed concrete shortages at construction sites.

“LOTTE Chemical will continue to place mutually beneficial cooperation with its customers at the forefront of its priorities and take the lead in enhancing the competitiveness of Korea’s industrial sector,” the company said.

Meanwhile, LOTTE DAESAN PETROCHEM, a company established through LOTTE Chemical’s physical spin-off, has also notified customers of supply price adjustments for key products as part of its efforts to stabilize the supply chain and strengthen customer partnerships.
