‘Project LOOP’ has released two kinds of pouches and one kind of credit card wallet as the second series of eco-friendly products.

‘Project LOOP’ was created by eight companies last year to raise awareness on circulation of resources and build a circulating economic system in Korea. LOTTE Chemical and Impact Square coordinated the project, while SuperBin, a developer of AI-based resource circulating robots, Nephron, an automated collector of used PET bottles.

Kumho Fiber Industries and DY Polymer took charge of pulverizing and manufacturing used PET bottles and Korea Textile Development Institute produced fiber yarns with the used plastic. LAR, Beyond, and Revelop used the recycled fiber yarns to make products. Last December LAR released eco-friendly bags and shoes, Beyond made jackets and Revelop introduced laptop pouches.

The latest products have been sponsored by LOTTE Chemical, LOTTE Holdings, LOTTE LOTTE Foundation for Arts’ LOTTE Museum, and Artist Jung Gi Kim, who is known as the master of all artists around the world. Artist Kim has always been interested in environmental issues and happily joined the project to pursue his hope to hand clean nature over to the families and children of next generations.

Six and four 500ml PET bottles were recycled to make the big and small pouches, respectively, and one to make the credit card wallet.

The eco-friendly products with Artist Jung Gi Kim’s images can be purchased at LOTTE Museum and LOTTE On and a portion of profit will be donated to environmental organizations in the name of LOTTE Chemical and Artist Jung Gi Kim.
